Vice Chair of Research - Department of Pediatrics
Location: Charlotte, NC
Atrium Health, formerly Carolinas HealthCare System, is currently seeking a Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Pediatrics at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC. The Vice Chair will work closely with the Chair of Pediatrics and the Vice Chairs of Clinical Affairs and Education to advance research efforts and training, increase the number of externally funded clinical trials/research endeavors, and partner with the Carolinas HealthCare System Foundation to engage with our donors. In addition to the administrative duties, this position will include dedicated time for funded research and/or clinical practice.
· Advanced Degree – MD, DO or PhD
· Board Certified in General Pediatrics or a Pediatric Specialty (MD and DO only)
· 10+ years of experience in a pediatric research at a children’s hospital and/or academic institution
· Demonstration of a commitment to clinical excellence, education and research development
· Academic accomplishments that would support an appointment at an Associate or Full Professor level
